Ocean Alexander 28E in the heart of two experienced owners

Ocean Alexander continues to rack up sales without pause. The latest involves a new Ocean Alexander 28E, chosen by a couple of owners who previously had a Sanlorenzo SL86. Behind the deal is, once again, Scott Roberton—one of the top sales figures for the American brand. As yacht and brokerage sales executive at MarineMax, Roberton is renowned worldwide for his deep industry knowledge and consultative approach. In this transaction, he worked closely with Frank Brennan of MarineMax Newport to introduce the couple—long-time MarineMax clients—to Ocean Alexander’s limited Explorer series.

The couple turned to the Ocean Alexander 28E for its innovative layout and commanding sense of volume—a leap forward in comfort and functionality. The yacht’s expansive aft deck was a standout feature, offering unmatched flexibility for watersports, social gatherings, or relaxing near the water. With an on-deck master, four spacious staterooms, a private skylounge, and generous crew quarters, the Ocean Alexander 28E met the owners’ desire for a layout that was both luxurious and operationally seamless. Purchased for private use only, the yacht will split its time between Newport, RI and the Florida/Bahamas region, offering a seasonal cruising experience tailored to the owners’ lifestyle.

“These owners are very hands-on with their crew and place high value on thoughtful space planning – said Roberton – The 28E checked every box. It delivers true exploring capabilities while maintaining a refined, contemporary aesthetic that rivals any European builder. It was the natural next step”. Roberton also emphasized why the Ocean Alexander 28E stood out: “This model is a bold example of how Ocean Alexander has evolved—pairing exterior design by Evan K. Marshall with an engineering platform built for adventure. It’s exciting to see owners recognize that evolution and make the move.”

The Ocean Alexander 28E reflects a broader shift in owner priorities: increased interior volume, elevated crew comfort, and highly adaptable exterior spaces for multi-purpose use—principles that have helped position the Explorer series as one of the most distinctive offerings in the 90-foot segment.

Dan Mundy, Head of Global Operations for Ocean Alexander, adds: “we’re thrilled to welcome these experienced owners to the Ocean Alexander family. The 28E exemplifies the innovation, volume, and versatility that define our Explorer series, and it’s rewarding to see clients recognize that value. We also commend Scott Roberton for his professionalism and long-standing commitment to representing the brand with excellence”.
