Royal Huisman's dedicated refit division, Huisfit, has announced the appointment of Anders Pehrson as its new Commercial Director. The appointment is effective from 1 June 2025 and underscores Huisfit’s goals to expand its global reach and enhance its services to the superyacht sector.
Pehrson brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a career spanning nearly three decades in the yachting industry. Originally from Sweden, he began working on yachts in the mid-1990s, primarily serving as captain on motor yachts of up to 60 metres in length.
In 2013, he transitioned ashore to take up a role in the redevelopment of Marina Port Vell, Barcelona, helping transform it into a superyacht hub. Since 2018, he has been based in Palma de Mallorca, where he most recently held the position of Commercial Manager at Astilleros de Mallorca.
His new role with Huisfit will see him operating from Palma, allowing him to maintain close ties with one of the industry's most active yachting communities while helping to grow Huisfit’s presence in the region.
“After several busy years, we greatly appreciate the valuable insights and feedback we have received from project managers, captains and crew during a wide variety of recent projects,” commented Stefan Coronel, General Manager of Huisfit.
“Based on these learnings, we are taking the next step: making additional investments in both quality and our Huisfit team. Therefore, we feel fortunate to be able to welcome Anders Pehrson to the ranks. In addition, we are strengthening and expanding our in-house expertise in Amsterdam to further enhance our service and craftsmanship in the near future.”
Huisfit continues to establish itself as a leading name in the refit of sailing and motor yachts above 40 metres, combining Royal Huisman's heritage with its expertise in service and innovation.
Speaking on his appointment, Pehrson said: “I am thrilled to join the Huisfit team and keen both to get to know the existing repeat client base and to introduce new clients to the Dutch craftsmanship of this renowned shipyard.”
