Silversea Wraps Up 2026 World Cruise in Lisbon

Silversea’s World Cruise 2026 has come to an end in Lisbon, Portugal.

“The Curious and the Sea” was a 140-day journey aboard the Silver Dawn that visited 59 destinations across 30 countries and six continents since it started in January.

The ship sailed from the South Pacific and Southeast Asia to Africa and Europe, before concluding in Lisbon.

“With ‘The Curious and the Sea,’ we set out to design a World Cruise rooted in cultural access and meaningful destination experiences,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea.

“This journey reflects a broader evolution in luxury travel, where guests are not just visiting places, but rather experiencing them deeply. It sets a new benchmark for what a World Cruise can be and informs how we are designing the journeys ahead, with our World Cruise 2027, ‘The Three Oceans.’”

Guests enjoyed immersive experiences designed exclusively for the world cruise, bringing the traditions and flavors of destinations to life.

This included cultural celebrations in French Polynesia and Vanuatu, culinary journeys in Bali and India and an evening in Cape Town featuring a menu by nine-time Michelin-starred chef, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen.

The voyage concluded with A Feast of Flowers in Funchal, taking place during Madeira’s annual Flower Festival.

Guests also got to know destinations through shore excursions, some of which included a traditional Thai dinner, an off-road journey through Sandwich Harbour in Namibia, a two-night stay at the Longitude 131° desert lodge in Australia’s Red Centre and a culinary partnership with four world-class guest chefs in Mexico, Australia, Indonesia and West Africa.

Now that this year’s world cruise has ended, the company is looking ahead to the next three editions:

World Cruise 2027, “The Three Oceans”: a 149-day global voyage exploring the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans and visiting over 80 ports.

World Cruise 2028, “An Ode to the Moment”: a 132-day journey visiting 58 destinations across 29 countries.

World Cruise 2029, “A Pacific Awakening”: A 125-day journey taking guests to more than 60 destinations in 19 countries, from Polynesia and Micronesia to Australia, Asia and beyond.
