The 24-metre Wally yacht Rose was crowned the overall winner of The Superyacht Cup Palma 2025, marking the third time she has won this title and the first time a yacht has won three consecutive times.
Now in its 29th year, Rose emerged as the overall winner of the event after achieving the same victory during the Superyacht Cup Palma’s 27th and 28th edition.
Kicking off into the final day in the competition, the St. Regis Race Day, three yachts – Cervo, Gelliceaux and Rose were all tied on top with four points each competing to bag the winning title.
Class A began as a showcase of top-notch performance and speed, with the 39-metre Tripp-designed Cervo and Farr-designed 35-metre Southern Wind yacht Gelliceaux competing head-to-head. In the end of the class A duel, Gelliceaux prevailed in the battle against Cervo.
Afterwards, Class B took the crowd’s attention with the 24-metre Wally sailing yacht Rose racing against the Y Yacht Sveam and a quartet of Baltic 68 Café Racers: Ganesha, Open Season, Pink Gin Verde and Scorpione Hormar. Though Open Season won three race victories, she and the other Café Racers are ineligible to move forward in the competition because they are not classified as superyachts.
Unable to snatch the SYC overall winner title, Rose was left to advance towards the next level.
The final outcome shows both Rose and Gelliceaux at the top spot with six points each. However, by virtue of racing under Class B with a large number of competing yachts, Rose eventually took the overall win.
Rose’s captain Ben Potter gladly closed The Superyacht Cup Palma 2025 with pride, saying that it is an honor to win a historic three-peat in the history of the superyacht regatta.
“We're really thrilled we got the top result for the third year in a row…to make history at The Superyacht Cup Palma is wonderful,” Potter said.
Moreover, Captain Potter also mentioned how the weather was a good factor in his and the yacht’s performance during the event. He also commended the organisation for this year’s edition.
"It's been fantastic, champagne sailing conditions all week with flat sea and great winds. And the organisation is great. All the communication is clear and easy for us to read and take on board, the safety aspect is fantastic, and we just love this event. It's one of the events we want to be in and every boat should want to be part of the Superyacht Cup Palma."
Event Director Kate Branagh also expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated at this year’s Superyacht Cup Palma.
“We are indebted to all the owners, captains and crews who have taken part, and to our partners and supporters, not least our new Venue Partner Club de Mar-Mallorca, and Preferred Hotel Partner St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca who sponsored today's concluding race," Branagh said.
The Superyacht Cup Palma remains as Europe's original and largest superyacht regatta, set to return next year for its landmark 30th edition from 24 to 27 June 2026.
