Italian shipyard Baglietto has launched the seventh hull from its 40.9-metre DOM 133 series, now christened Sui Generis. The motor yacht hit the water at the yard's La Spezia facilities, showing off a shapely exterior by Stefano Vafiadis. Notably, this marks the seventh launch from the shipyard this year, with DOM 133 sistership Andala launched only last month.
In keeping with the DOM 133 series, Sui Generis is said by the yard to incorporate all of the model's "hallmark features", including generous interior volumes, a two-level beach club with an infinity pool featuring a lifting floor as well as panoramic windows that open out onto terraces – all elements that have made the model so popular.
However, what sets this DOM 133 apart from her predecessors is her striking cobalt blue hull and superstructure, providing a "strong personality and a unique visual identity" across her masculine four-deck profile.
And it's not just her distinctive blue stature that makes her different to her sisterships. Inside, the interior layout has been "extensively customised", with the two VIPs on the lower deck separated by a sliding partition, allowing them to be converted into a second full-beam master cabin.
Other customisations include the central staircase, which has been structurally modified to enlarge the foyer to accommodate a piece of art, and the sundeck, which was designed with a custom-made pool. Baglietto’s in-house design team curated the interior design.
"Sui Generis perfectly embodies the spirit of the DOM 133 line," said Baglietto CCO, Fabio Ermetto. "A modern, elegant, and highly customisable yacht, capable of meeting the most specific needs of the owner. It confirms the success of a line that has perfectly interpreted the demands of an increasingly discerning market."
The motor yacht is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, offering a top speed of 17 knots.
According to BOATPro, the Italian yard currently has two other DOM 133 units under construction, with delivery scheduled for 2026 and 2027. This new launch comes at a busy time for the yard, with its previous launch taking place just two weeks ago.
