Azimut|Benetti Group has announced the appointment of Andrea Antichi as General Manager for the Azimut division, reporting directly to CEO Marco Valle.
Antichi officially took on the role on Monday, 12 May 2025. As General Manager, he will be responsible for the division’s strategic direction and achieving both economic and industrial goals. “The priority for Antichi is consolidating the footprint of the production sites, which are currently at the center of a transformation and enhancement plan,” Azimut commented.
With nearly two decades of experience as a mechanical engineer, Antichi brings a solid professional track record, having worked with leading industrial companies. He joined Ferrari in 2006 and progressively advanced through various manufacturing roles until he eventually became Chief Manufacturing Officer, a role he held until his transition to the Azimut|Benetti Group.
“After nineteen years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the world, I have chosen to come aboard the excellence of the yachting sector,” stated Antichi.
Earlier in his career, he also gained technical experience at Piaggio and contributed to research in computational biomechanics at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institutes.
His appointment is part of Azimut’s wider organisational and strategic evolution, aimed at integrating top nautical expertise with senior managerial profiles from other industrial sectors. Through this approach, the company seeks to cultivate a cross-disciplinary, innovative and future-oriented vision.
“Andrea’s appointment is an important part of the current phase of evolution of the Azimut division, which commits to building the foundation of an ambitious vision for the coming years: accelerating industrial development with an increasingly structured approach, while continuing to innovate constantly. The transformation of the Avigliana facility, now capable of producing boats up to 26-metres, is a testament to this improvement path. Bringing both experience and managerial vision, Andrea will make a decisive contribution in guiding a new phase of growth, in making production processes even more efficient and in continuing to raise our quality standards,” concluded Valle.
