Job description

Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters is actively hiring experienced deckhands to join our crew aboard our yachts. As South Florida’s premier luxury yacht charter venue, boasting two state-of-the-art 100+ foot vessels, we host events at many of the area’s most prestigious locations, including Bayside Marketplace, Fontainebleau, Eden Roc Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach. Our yachts have participated in high-profile events such as the Ultra Music Festival, the Miami International Boat Show, Super Bowl LIV, the Winterfest Boat Parade, and many more! POSITION REPORTS TO: Captains

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist the captain in the safe operation of the vessel by conducting safety checks around the vessel and keeping watch during charters, as well as during vessel transits to and from docks. Handle dock lines, fenders, and gangways as the vessel travels to various dock locations. Participate in Coast Guard-mandated safety and security drills to ensure readiness for any shipboard emergency. Ensure that the vessel is clean and prepared for the day’s charters and/or showings. Provide exceptional hospitality to guests. Assist restaurant and galley staff with loading and unloading provisions, supplies, tables, and chairs. Assist the captain, engineers, and management in maintaining vessel equipment and systems, including diesel, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and plumbing. Sweep, mop, and wash down decks and exteriors to remove dirt and debris using brooms, mops, brushes, and hoses.

REQUIREMENTS: Ability to arrive onboard on time as scheduled. Friendly attitude with strong interpersonal skills. Must be physically fit enough to lift 50 pounds. Must maintain a neat, clean appearance and adhere to proper uniform attire. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time without sitting and work outdoors in warm weather. Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. All crew members are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and remain enrolled in a random drug testing program as per Coast Guard regulations.

Experience: handling mooring lines for docking and undocking. : 3 years (Required) maintain the vessel's tenders: 3 years (Required)
